“To see beauty even in the common things in life”

The classical Greek adjective for “beautiful” was καλλός, kallos. Beauty is a characteristic of a person, object, or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning, or satisfaction. The experience of “beauty” often involves the interpretation of some entity as being in balance and harmony with nature, which may lead to feelings of attraction and emotional well-being.

Aphrodite was the great Olympian goddess of beauty, love, pleasure, and procreation. She was depicted as a beautiful woman usually accompanied by the winged godling Eros (Love). Love and beauty are ideas essentially connected, and Aphrodite was therefore also the goddess of beauty and gracefulness. In these points she surpassed all other goddesses.
